Every business will definitely have its ups and downs. There will be times where things get tougher and you really have to work and put in the extra hours of effort just to stay afloat. I don’t know why but some people tell me they run their business just for fun. How can you do it? To be honest I don’t know and I don’t really care. I put in a lot of effort into the work that I do and I feel that some people don’t really appreciate it. “Don’t value those that don’t value you else you may end up wasting your time, all the time”. Go find yourself things that are more productive to do and put your time to good use.

After working so hard to build my business up, I suddenly realized I came across some idiots who tried to bring it down. I don’t see what’s the joy they get in doing that? Some of them also think they’re very smart in manipulating situations to benefit them. Hey just because im in the IT trade doesn’t meant I’m a noob when it comes to being scrupulous.

Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Ma, Bill Gates are all Alphas in the IT world. They would have seen many who try to bring them down. They have overcome those hurdles and that’s why they are who they are today. It was not as if they woke up from their sleep one day and became Billionaires. They definitely would have put in a lot of time, effort, hard work and of course maybe some luck and lo and behold everything fell nicely into place for them.

Now think about it. These people are Billionaires. They have all the money in the world. Enough to feed their families for generations to come. I mean come on, these are the people who hire people just to count their money on a full time basis. Im very sure that they are constantly targeted for lawsuits or maybe even scammers trying their luck to cheat them of their fortune. These things happen to rich people often and considered normal for their daily takeaways. We don’t have many Billionaires here in Singapore but we do have a huge chunk of Small, Medium Enterprises a.k.a SMEs. They generate the bulk of the Revenue locally in Singapore. Recently I encountered various situations where businesses had run into issues with collecting payments and individuals getting cheated of their hard earned money.

Running a trade is one thing, collecting money from customers is another. A lot of small businesses here run on credit. These are the people who work really hard day and night just to make ends meet. We shouldn’t cheat them. If there is a dispute talk and settle it amicably. Don’t avoid calls or messages. Don’t tell lies and try to manipulate your way through to not paying. You are only causing more problems to yourself. These are also actions that are not accepted so don’t take advantage of one just because you think you are smarter and better and can get away with not paying up. If I ever encounter such situations, then let me tell you, I won’t hesitate to come knocking at your door!
